This was the last tape I made before I found out about the tape trading network. My musical partner Greg Gray was on most of the tracks here and although we had fun in the garage this was a highly flawed and rarely heard item at the time. I was not proud of this one as a whole although there are a couple of good songs here and there. Mainly, it’s a mess. A few months later, I assembled a sprawling Best Of Collection ( that featured one of the songs from this ) called “New Monterey Road Sounds” that I used as my first real “trade” tape with other home tapers worldwide. My late brother, Chris, appears on one song and a former work colleague, Allen Dancer, plays drums on one song.
The fidelity was lousy, the songs and jams barely there but we had the spirit , the fun spirit of making music.
This is the first digital release of this album that originally appeared as a cassette in 1984.
